With three nights at a comfortable mountain hotel in Hafjell, ski instruction and two nights in Lillehammer, this is a great introduction to Norwegian winter life.
Learn to Cross-Country Ski at Pellestova
Stay at Pellestova Hotel, high in the Hafjell mountains, surrounded by beautiful winter scenery and an extensive network of groomed cross-country ski trails. The trails start right outside the hotel, making it easy to head out and explore the mountains on skis.
During your stay, you receive two hours of cross-country ski instruction on each of your two full days at Pellestova. An experienced instructor will help you learn the basics or improve your technique and confidence. You may share your lessons with other guests taking the same course.
Outside the lessons, you can use the included ski equipment to practise what you have learned and explore the trails independently. Choose shorter or longer routes and enjoy the varied mountain terrain at your own pace. Ski rental is included throughout your stay at Pellestova.
After a day outdoors, relax in the hotel's cosy lounge by the fireplace, with beautiful views of the ski trails and winter landscape. Your three-night mountain stay includes all meals, so you can enjoy good food and comfortable surroundings throughout your stay.
Discover Lillehammer and More Winter Experiences
After your mountain stay, continue to Lillehammer for two nights. Explore this charming Olympic town, visit the open-air museum Maihaugen or discover the venues from the 1994 Winter Olympics.
You can also add more winter experiences, such as a dog-sledding excursion at Sjusjøen or a guided snowshoe hike in the surrounding countryside.
A Ski Holiday with Instruction and Freedom
This is a great way to learn cross-country skiing in Norway without committing to a demanding multi-day ski tour. The instruction gives you a good introduction to the sport, while the time on the trails allows you to practise and develop your skills independently.
We arrange return transport from Oslo Airport, accommodation, meals during your mountain stay and ski equipment rental at Pellestova. In Lillehammer, you have the freedom to explore the town and choose additional activities at your own pace.
