Dive into wild winter nature following safe marked tracks and local guides. Experience the rare silence. Norway’s nature enchants its beauty, especially in winter. The region around Jotunheimen National Park with its vast tablelands and bizarre, bold rolling mountain ranges offers unlimited fun for those who fancy outdoor activities.
Hindsæter has well-marked trails for everyone. Experience the fresh mountain air and look for one of the largest forest animals - the elk. In winter there is a good chance to see them. You can also look forward to an ice hike through the Sjoa Gorge.
The small historic Hindsæter Hotel, built in 1898, has a stunning view over the valley and Jotunheimen National Park. You can upgrade to a unique and romantic Alp suite, furnished with historical and new interiors in old farm style, wooden tables from the local woods, elk- and reindeer antlers and comfy chairs with reading lamps. In the evening you are welcome to enjoy the view and find inspiration in the mountain library, by the fireplace or in the mountain spa with saunas and a jacuzzi.
Hindsæter is a relaxing getaway, with exceptional opportunities right at the doorstep. We also promise you some extraordinary food experiences. The owners and hosts, Karola and André, are present to take care of you throughout the week.
This is simply a week of pure enjoyment.
