Mountains and Summer farms in Valdres

Status:
This tour is on request, please contact us for information and booking
One of Norway's finest cycling routs crosses mountains and valleys in the Valdres Mountains.
This round trip is suitable for families with children from age 6-8 years.
You bike on a mountain plateau, 800 - 1 000 meters above sea level. This area is called 'The forecourt to Jotunheimen National park'. The area offers magnificent views towards mountain peaks towering more than 2 000 meters above sea level.
This area features one of Norway's largest and most active mountain farm areas. You’ll probably meet sheep's, goats and cows along the way.
You can combine this tour with hiking, swimming, fishing and visits to traditional mountain farms, and enjoy many nature- and cultural experiences.

NB! When booking, you will receive a new email from us when all accommodations are confirmed. This may take from a few hours up to 3 business days, depending on the supplier(s). Please don't book your flight until you've received an email confirmation from us.

Valdres is (and Gol is about to become) labelled as a sustainable destination with commitments to a more sustainable development of the environment, their unique culture, the local community, and last but not least - your well-being.

You pass streams and small mountain lakes and eventually, you get a fantastic view of the Hemsedal mountains. • Day 4: Bike from Oset to Nøsen, 19 km

A short climb up from the lake, otherwise this is a flat and easy lap. Easy cycling along the Midtre Syndin lake. 1 km uphill at the end of today's trip.
Instead of biking on a path, it is possible to continue a local road, this will make add approx. 10 km.
    Accommodation at Syndinstøga Lodge

  • Day 6: Bike from Syndin to Vaset, 22 km

Nice and easy day trip with a few hills. It is possible to choose alternative routes to make the trip longer. Part of today's trip goes on a bad dirt road, which can be muddy after rain. It is possible to make a longer trip to avoid the dirt road.
