Enjoy the magnificent Norwegian Fjords in winter time, when the cruise ships have left, and you can breathe the fresh air and listen to the silence. 
Bergen is always worth a visit, but this time of year it's not crowded with tourists. Flåm offers exciting winter adventures that only a few know about. This tour includes a snowshoe tour to see the exceptional view of the fjord and the white mountains mirroring themselves in it. You also join a FjordSafari to the UNESCO World Heritage site, Nærøyfjord, surrounded by towering mountains up to 1700 metres high. The last evening you are invited to enjoy a memorable viking dinner at the Ægir Brewpub.

Day by day program

Day 1, Sunday: Arrival and overnight stay in Bergen.
The hotel is located at Bryggen, one of Bergen's main attractions. You are also within walking distance of the main town square, the Fløibanen funicular, and many of the city’s main sights.

Day 2, Monday: Experience Bergen and take a late train to Myrdal and Flåm.
Bergen is an international city packed with history and tradition, a big city with small-town charm and atmosphere. In Bergen you can also enjoy some of the finest seafood restaurants in Norway. If you are looking for things to do in, check out

Day 3, Tuesday: FjordSafari (2.5 hours) and cultural evening walk (1.5 hours).
Join a RIB safari on the Aurlandsfjord and the Nærøyfjord, with a stop in the small village of Undredal for hot drinks and a taste of the local goat cheese. You are provided with all the necessary gear for a safe and comfortable experience. Your guide will share stories, local history and even some tales from this spectacular area, while looking for seals, whales and sea eagles along the way.

Experience Flåm on a quiet and pleasant Cultural Evening Walk. Discover the village at night and see how the landscape changes with the light. The guides will tell local tales, provide a unique insight into the local history of the area, and answer questions you may have about the area. 

Day 4, Wednesday: Snowshoe Hike (3,5 - 3 hours) and Ægir Viking dinner.
This guided hike will take you into the local mountains, for an exceptional view of the fjord. We also make a stop at Stegastein viewpoint, 650 meters above sea level. The trip is suitable for beginners and is a fun way to access nature during the winter season. 

You end the day with a unique 5 course beer and food menu. You get to taste: smoked reindeer, shellfish, fish- and shellfish soup, pork shank and dark chocolate ganache cake. The menu is served with 5 different Ægir beers - local beer produced at the restaurant.

Day 5, Thursday: Departure
The Amazing Flåm Railway to Myrdal, and Bergen Line to Bergen (or Oslo).

The Flåm Railway, may be one of the most scenic and beautiful train rides in the world. Tourists come from all over the world to experience this 20 km train ride from the fjord at Flåm station, through the Flåm valley up to the high mountains at Myrdal station. 
If you choose to continue on the Bergen Line to Oslo, you will experience the highest main railway line in Northern Europe. The track crosses Hardangervidda plateau at 1,237 meters above sea level.
