Guided Ski safari in the Rondane and Venabygd Mountains

Do you want to learn how the Norwegian ancestors skied from place to place in an advanced level?
This tour offers guided cross-country skiing away from the groomed tracks. You make your own ski tracks in the unspoiled snow, over the plateau, on mountain tops, and through rolling mountain forests. 
Feel the peace of nature, just listen to your heart beat, and the sound of your skis through the snow. Smell the fresh air and let your mind wander.
You may see different animal tracks like fox and hare, and sometimes moose, ptarmigan or wild reindeer.
Each day we aim to cover between 15 to 35 kilometers, depending on the weather- and snow conditions.
The trips require good ski equipment for skiing outside the prepared tracks. Ski equipment can be hired at the hotel.
Venabu is located just south of the Rondane National Park. You find your hotel at 932 m.a.s.l., in the middle of an open mountain plateau, but not far from mountains rising towards 1500 m. The area has a stable inland climate and very good snow conditions.
