This program includes a tour of the famous Besseggen Ridge. More than 60,000 people make the trip in summer, but in winter it is less than 100. The absence of people makes the trip even more spectacular! In addition, the guide, Iver Lund Aakre, takes you to peaks over 2000 metres. One of them is Besshø, the majesty in East Jotunheimen. From the summit, 2258 m.a.s.l., you get a fantastic view of the peaks in Jotunheimen National Park. The terrain at Bessheim is suitable for both ski touring and cross-country skiing. We recommend randonee/ski touring equipment for the guidede tours.
On Tuesday, Jotunheimen Husky Lodge invites you on a 3-hour dog sledding tour (additional cost). You’ll get close to the dogs and close to nature – a real winter adventure in the heart of Jotunheimen.
You stay at Bessheim Fjellstue, with pleasant hosts and fantastically food. Between ski trips, you can enjoy the living rooms with a cosy fireplace and nice company. The hosts at Bessheim are also helpful in giving good advice for ski tours in the area.
