You stay at the family-run Venabu Fjellhotell, located 932 meters above sea level, on the mountain pass between Gudbrandsdalen and Østerdalen. Venabu is the perfect base for longer and shorter walks in varied terrain. The landscape is dominated by the open plateau formed by a desert climate 60 million years ago, as well as newer formations created 10,000 years ago during the last Ice Age. Here you can see some of the most exciting scenery consisting of narrow canyons, lakes, waterfalls, moraines and terraces.
