The Lofoten Isle archipelago offers breathtaking, unforgettable scenery, creating an almost fairy tale like atmosphere.
This tour takes you to a landscape of impressive alpine mountain peaks, Arctic fjords, white beaches and tiny fishing settlements. You get to experience some of the genuine Lofoten atmosphere through local food and traditional accommodation in fishermen’s cabins (rorbuer).
We first meet in Stamsund, where the Norwegian Coastal Express, Hurtigruten arrives from Bodø. You'll never forget your first approach to the Lofoten Islands by ship. The islands spread their tall, craggy mountains against the sky like some spiky sea dragon and you wonder how human beings eke out a living in such seemingly inhospitable surroundings.
The last days we have Reine as our base. The beauty of this place is simply staggering.
Your guide, Hilde will take you to some of her favorite places in Lofoten. You will hike summits with 360 degree views and shorelines with smell of seaweed and ocean.
Overnight in fishermans cabins.
Even the food is an adventure. We like to call it a culinary journey, or a voyage in the Arctic menu.
We guarantee a memorable trip with great adventure.
